This year's Schools conference is set to attract participation from all the Dzivarasekwa Secondary Schools and out of school youths in Dzivarasekwa.
Held under the inspired theme "Breaking Barriers, Unmaking Potential," the whole idea behind the Schools Conference is to speak and inspire a new confidence, a new way of living, a new angle of illumination, a new appreciation of horizons to the youth of the ghetto. We believe they have equally the same capacity, passion and desires to rise above their communities.

From a young people that has had little attention, the BOC-YP comes in to remind the young people that God created everyone for a purpose. He says in Jeremiah 1 vs 5 "Before I formed thee in the belly, I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee ..."
We all were born with a purpose. Purposeless living has created so much negative energy in our society. When children stab their parents for wanting to know where they got money from, when young people only know how to speak obscenities and spend their productive time doing nothing but wander aimlessly. We have a young generation whose potential remains untapped! We have 30 year olds who do not know what submission is. We have a generation that knows not the joys of ownership! The devil has taken over our communities, and christians have stood on the sidelines in awe!
We have a battle that we ought to engage in. Prayer and fasting is one way, teaching the people another. The word of God says, my people perish due to lack of Knowledge! According to Webster's Dictionary, knowledge is "the fact or condition of knowing something with familiarity gained through experience or association".
While we may, in the ghetto, not always experience a certain lifestyle that will motivate us to stretch ourselves, the BOC-YP believes by associating with certain people, organisations, institutes and leaders, we will be able to gain enough knowledge to allow us to stretch further than our exposure.
One of the greatest challenges experienced by young Christian is standing for their faith in their youths, especially at school. Another is lack of exposure to make informed decisions on the way of life. The BOC- YP is therefore creating such a platform for Dzivarasekwa youth.
