Body of Christ Youth in Purpose Schools Ministry

Proverbs 22:6   Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. (KJV)

Vision:
Taking the children back to God

Objectives:
The Body of Christ Youth in Purpose Schools Ministry wing focuses on complementing the body of Christ to achieve a balanced spiritual and social life of children and young people beyond the church walls through:-
  • ·      Life-skills training
  • ·      Team building activities
  • ·      Career guidance
  • ·      Talent identification, nurturing and exposure
  • ·      Networking
  • ·      Training of Trainers workshops &
  • ·      Sports ministry

Problem Statement
Children and young people are affected by vast societal influences both positive and negative. It is our desire to help them to brainstorm both in plenary and at individual levels how to use positive peer pressure to overcome negative peer pressure(s) thereby creating a conducive and consistent environment for character, mental and skills development.

Children in our present day context are growing in a very noisy environment where the major pre-occupation for parents and guardians is finding money, with less time dedicated to the children’s welfare and safety. Most of the children suffer rejection, indecision, abuse, which leads them to pursue hopeless channels of survival. Rape cases are on the rise, prostitution and crime have become the order of the day.

As such, we believe as Christians, we should nurture our fellow young people, because if we lose a generation to the devil, we would have lost a further four generations ahead.

Therefore, BOC-YP seeks to take back the young people to God by giving them an alternative, more fulfilling way of living.
